You can go for walks or mountain biking in the forest or along a number of rivers and lakes. You can also go fishing or visit the beautiful villages in the area. You will have lovely views of the local volcanic hills (la chaine des puys) and mountains (massif du Sancy).

During the second week of August you may enjoy the  BACH EN COMBRAILLES festival which happens each year in the surrounding towns.

You can visit the "MAISON DU PATRIMOINE" in the nearby town of Voingt (Furniture from the Neolithic age to the gallo-roman).

- Water sports and swimming at the reservoir  FADES-BESSERVE and the viaduct “les Fades”  built in 1909 (the biggest in Europe at the time).

1/2 hour away:

- VULCANIA and VOLCAN DE LEMPTEGY where you can have fun discovering everything about volcanos.

 At 3/4 hour:

- The PUY DE DOME classified as "grand site de France". Walking is the only way to reach the summit. Your effort will be rewarded by unspoilt views of the chaine des Puys, massif du Sancy,  monts du Forez and Clermont-Ferrand.

- The GOUR DE TAZENAT (lake of volcanic origin which marks the north limit of the chain of Volcanic hills).
